At The Lost Valley we form groups from individual bookings. Public access is carefully managed. Only pre-booked, guided tours are permitted. Entry is restricted to one group per day. Groups are led along a looped green road. This ensures the sustainable use of this high nature value landscape and provides protection to wildlife and the E.U. designated, sensitive eco-systems, while allowing the traditional sheep farming that created and sustained them to continue. It also ensures that all visitors can experience the unique wilderness aspect of The Lost Valley. Booking at least two weeks in advance, helps to avoid disappointment and secure a tour on the day, however we endeavor to facilitate all bookings.

 Thank you.

The best, most authentic experience we had in Mayo Google Review by Brandie Brown

My family spent 3 weeks in County Mayo and this was by far the best, most authentic experience we had. The Bourke family owns a slice of Irish heaven and I’m so thankful that they have allowed us to experience it. Not only is the setting captivating, but the stories that were lived out here need to be heard. We will never forget this visit. Thank you, Gerard and family!

Highlight of our trip to Mayo! Tripadvisor Review

We spent six days in Westport and did the greenway, Achill island, cruise on clew bay, Westport house and pirate adventure, Croagh Patrick etc however the highlight of our trip was the Lost Valley. I could not recommend it highly enough, it had all the ingredients of an amazing experience for the adults and children. Firstly the scenery was breathtaking, I have travelled all over the world and it is among the most beautiful places I have ever been to. The untouched private beach, mountain, views out to Clew bay, Killary fjord, stunning waterfall. This coupled with extremely interesting cultural and social history was highly informative and even the younger kids enjoyed it. The working dog demonstration was awesome and the cup of coffee and biscuits were such a treat at the end. Don't be put off by the walk, our 4 children 13,11,8 and 7 found it very easy. I was worried my son with dyspraxia and Autism would struggle but it's a gentle gradient with lots of stops. Thanks for such a unique and enjoyable experience!
