Open for individual and group bookings from mid May till mid September and spring bank holidays.

At The Lost Valley we form groups from individual bookings. Public access is carefully managed. Only pre-booked, guided tours are permitted. Groups are led along a looped green road. This ensures the sustainable use of this high nature value landscape and provides protection to sensitive eco-systems, while allowing the traditional sheep farming that created and sustained them to continue. It also ensures that all visitors can experience the unique wilderness aspect of the valley. Booking at least two weeks in advance, helps to avoid disappointment and secure a tour on the day, however we endeavor to facilitate all bookings.

 Thank you.

Best pay-for thing to do in Mayo Tripadvisor Review

I have wanted to do this 3 hour walking tour for a few years and finally fitted it in this summer. From first meeting Gerard and Maureen in this simply exquisite part of Ireland to parting several hours later I was enchanted and hung on every word of their many fascinating facts, anecdotes, quotes and charm. This is quiet simply unique experience; to walk in some of Ireland's best and most varied scenery ( Mountains, beach, salt marsh and fjord, all in one short walk ) experiencing 'living' history and seeing relics of the past first hand in situ was spellbinding. I cannot wait to return with friends and family. The entire experience will leave you in deep thought about Ireland's past and present but also greatly uplifted by your wonderful hosts and uniquely beautiful scenery. Go.
